Tallinn old townTallinn is the capital city of Estonia and is located on the northern coast. Since hosting the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest it has become a popular city break destination.

The cobbled streets of the Old Town are filled with cafes, bistros and nightlife in harmony with the beautiful medieval architecture.

Circling the Old Town is a large proportion of the original town’s wall dating back to the 1500s. Many of the towers are still intact and it is thought to be the towns’ most striking featuure.
There are also a vast number of galleries and museums to visit and don’t miss the views from Toompea Castle which was constructed in the 12th century by the Danes. A short walk away is Aleksandr Nevsky Cathedral.

After a packed day of sightseeing why not relax in the Botanical Gardens before sampling the town’s restaurants and famous nightlife.

Please visit www.tallinn.ee/eng or http://tourism.tallinn.ee/ for more information about the area.
