SAS conducts commercial test flight designed to save CO2

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has just conducted the first commercial transatlantic flight using a system designed to reduce CO2 and save fuel.

The Continuous Descent Approach (CDA) was used on their New York to Stockholm route and is estimated to have saved 150 kilos of aircraft fuel and 470 kilos of CO2.
