Campania is in southern Italy. It is bordered by Lazio to the northwest, Molise to the north, Apulia to the northeast and Basilicata to the east.

Lombardy is in northern Italy. It is bordered by Switzerland to the north, Emilia-Romagna to the south, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto to the east, and Piedmont to the west.

Sardinia is an island in the Mediterranean Sea. Sardinia is a generally mountainous island with a few coastal plains.
