ABTA helping advice to reduce your footprint

A new initiative is being launced for consumers by ABTA and the Association of Independent Tour Operators.

The Reduce My Footprint initiative uses a carbon calculator, which calculates the carbon emissions used for flights, car use and domestic/office energy use, allowing the user to fully calculate their carbon footprint and the cost of offsetting.

If paid through the scheme from every £1 spent, 50p will go to Certified Emissions Reductions (including wind farm projects in India), 30p goes to independent UK charity the Travel Foundation and 20p to Verified Emission Reduction Projects.
