St Lucia Guide

14th January 2010
Location of Saint LuciaSt Lucia is an island in the eastern Caribbean Sea. It is one of the Windward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. The island has been likened to the mythical Helen of Troy because control has switched between British and French many times and is known as the 'Helen of the West Indies'. St Lucia is a volcanic island which is more mountainous than many other Caribbean Islands. It is divided into 11 quarters and Castries is the capital and largest city.
The island offers many leisure activities including golf, tennis, sailing, snorkeling and scuba diving at the islands reefs and hiking and birdwatching in the rainforest. Don't miss the Soufriere volcano with the worlds only drive in volcanic crater.
