The Netherlands is a country in north west Europe with borders with the North Sea, Belgium and Germany. The capital of the country is Amsterdam. The Netherlands is divided into 12 regions. It is often called Holland which isn't technically correct. The country is known for windmills, tulips, clogs and delftware.

Amsterdam is located in the North Holland region. Its name is derived from Amstel dam. It is a city that offers something for everyone from culture and history to partying. There are plenty of things to see and do including architectural heritage, churches, modern architecture, windmills, museums,zoo, tour of the city, red light district. Diever is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. Diever is located near the Drentse Hoofdvaart, a major north-south route for pleasure boats in the province of Drenthe. Next to Diever is the Drents-Friese Wold, one of the biggest national parks of the Netherlands, and a major attraction for tourists. In the centre of Diever is a brink, a square with old buildings around it. The Dutch Reformed Saint Pancratius-church is a 15th century building, and one of the most beautiful churches of Drenthe.
