The house can offer accommodation for up to 12 people.
It is well equipped and offers the following facilities:
GROUND FLOOR
Lasrge sitting/dining room featuring a large open fireplace with wood burning stove and old oak staircase.
Open plan activity room (with sofa-bed) and open tread pine staircase.
Bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, washing machine and a separate toilet.
Kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and iron facilities.
FIRST FLOOR - please be aware that this area does have some low beams
3 double bedrooms, one with cot.
2 twin bedrooms, one with cot
Shower with toilet and basin
There are 9 duvets and 22 pillows provided. Bed linen is available for hire.
There is direct access from the sitting room and kitchen to the courtyard and large garden.
Set in open, undulating countryside of the Perigord Vert (the Green Dordogne), an a few minutes stroll from the peaceful village of St. Estephe has a restaurant/bar, baker and mini supermarket, La Cour Des Jours is a perfect, tranquil place to stay.
Ten minutes walk away is Etang Sainte Estephe - a leisure lake with beach - ideal for swimming, fishing, boating (pedalos) and nature walks. There is also a restaurant by the lake and a tennis court.
Half an hour by car is Bantome, well noted for its fine restaurants and renaissance buildings. It is the meeting point between two rivers and has the oldest clock in France!! It is described as the Venice of Perigord.
Also half an hour\'s drive to the northeast is a series of castles and chateaux known as the Circuite de Richard Couer de Lion which can be visited and explored.
4 miles away is the market town of Piegut Pluvier offering a major market for the area every Wednesday. There is a bank and supermarket with patisseries and shops to explore.
The ancient town of Nontron is ten minutes away with a local market held in and around the square every Saturday morning and a museum with a collection of toys and dolls.
