Description

Orchard View Cottage overlooks the kiwifruit orchard with pine forest to the rear and is set amidst 20 acres of private land also including pasture and native bush. Close to the river it is an ideal site for the trout fisherman and the small farm animals (calves, sheep, horses, dogs, cats, free range hens and ducks..) are fun for the children who are welcome to help at feeding time.
Two bedrooms sleep 4 people in comfort and a sofa bed in the living/dining area provides an extra bed or an alternative to the bunk beds.
The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave etc and satellite TV is provided in the living area.
The large sunny deck is furnished with tables, chairs and gas BBQ and from here you can enjoy stunning views of the Riwaka Valley and listen to the abundance of native birdsong.
The beautiful Abel Tasman National Park and the sandy beaches of Kaiteriteri and Marahau are a 12-15 minute drive away as is the township of Motueka. The Park provides many activities such as sea kayaking, seal swims, boat trips, walking and swimming from unspoilt beaches. In Motueka you will find shops, banks, chemists, restaurants and bars for your supplies and entertainment.
