Description

Rosalie Forest is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and we do all that we can to keep it that way. All of our electricity supply is renewable (solar/hydro/wind), we compost all watse, recycle where possible, and offer environmental education workshops.
Most of the lodge is deep in the heart of the Rosalie Rainforest, and can be reached only after a 15 minute steep uphill hike into the jungle. The cabions are all built from natural renewable materials.
We have a fully licensed restaurant and bar on site, and are only a short walk from a spectacular Atlantic beach, which is also a popular turtle besting ground. there are an abundance of waterfalls and lakes within hiking distance of the properyy, and we have four natural river pools here on site for bathing and snorkelling.
We also offer a range of community based tourism actvities, giving guests a true taste of real life here in Dominica, and clients may also choose a one night home stay experinece with a local family in the nearby village.
There are over 176 species of birds on the island, including some unique varieties of parrott, we are one of the world\'s top dive destinations, and have the world\'s second largest truly boiling lake, a wonder to behold. The Morne Trois Pitons National Park is also a UNESCO world heritage site, and the lodge sits nestled in its foothills.
All staff come from the local villages, and we rae the recipient of numerous international comunity and environment awards.
All governent tax is included in the prices, but a 7.5% service charge will be added to your final account when you leave.
Please remeber to bring with you a flashlight and some good and comfortable hiking shoes.
