The Mansion was designed 1886 by architect, HM. Hansen for his own family, and now a Historic Bldg, with all its original Victorian detail -- Gianinni & Hilgart stained glass, pocket doors & shutters, parquet floors, decorative fireplaces, carved wood,etc.

On the first level is a livingrm, diningrm, half bath and eat-in kitchen. Upstairs are four bedrooms to sleep 8 - 10 guests.

The top floor\'s Parlour Suite contains a seating area with widescreen LCD TV/DVD, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave, private sundeck with umbrella table, bathroom, separate air conditioning and two guest rooms for four guests. The Lit Bateau Guestroom has two single beds, a large closet, and an antique hutch with a dropdown desk. The Art Nouveau Salon next door boasts a rare ornate queen bed and armoire designed by Louis Marjorelle, the Father of Art Nouveau Furniture.

On the second floor are two Deluxe guest rooms; each has a queen-sized bed, extra en-suite marble sink, walk-in closet and private bath. The Celestial Chamber is graced with a magnificent hand-carved Victorian headboard, TV enclosed in an antique casing, CD player, and a large granite-topped desk. Its spacious bath has faux marble floors and an extra large shower with Corian walls and seat. The Architect\'s Quarters, offers a sitting area with down-filled settee, antique carved desk,TV & DVD in an antique armoire, dressing room, stained glass window, decorative fireplace. Behind a pocket door the bath has original clawft tub & hand shower. We can add 2 cots in this large room.

All stays include local phone calls and 24-hour complimentary coffee or tea. The entire mansion may be booked for groups up to nine guests. Chicago hotel tax of 12% is added to all rates.
