VisitBritain sees tourism records tumble

VisitBritain has today welcomed a record crumbling May including bumper spend results for the primary five months of 2013. Latest figures from the ONS International Passenger Survey show a four per cent rise inside the variety of May visits and a five per cent increase in spend following a two per cent rise within the first five months with a striking double digit ten per cent spike in cash generated. Argentina Tourist Board sponsors Argentine Ambassador’s Polo Cup

On Sunday 7th July, leading polo players from Argentina and England played out a fifteen goal classic, on the traditional Argentine Ambassador’s Cup. Spectators were thrilled to witness the encounter between the hand-picked stars of Zacara and Les Lions, which ended 9-6 in favour of Zacara. The yearly match, held since 1936, was hosted on the prestigious Cowdray Park Polo Club in West Sussex, the historic home of British polo.  The Argentina Tourism Board (INPROTUR) sponsored the development, being an excellent chance to advertise Argentina’s high-end Luxury tourism brand. ASEAN starts promoting experiential and inventive tourism

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is promoting six experiential and artistic travel themes to encourage multi-country trips across Southeast Asia. The themed promotions are component to the implementation of the ASEAN Tourism Business plan 2012-2015. The themes include: “The Tastes of Southeast Asia,” “ASEAN, a Tropical Paradise,” “World Class Cities,” “Experience Diverse Traditions,” “Sport and Relaxation,” and “Diverse Contemporary Creativity.” An initial list of 20 tour operators offering the topics in multi-country itineraries at the moment are at the new look ASEAN travel website, www.aseantourism.travel, the official website of ASEAN Tourism. Copenhagen Airport passenger numbers up nearly 5% in June

Passenger numbers at Copenhagen Airport were up 4.8% in June. a complete of two,329,956 passengers travelled through Copenhagen Airport throughout the first month of summer, the busiest month ever on the airport. The year-to-date increase in passenger numbers is two.2%.
