News: América Móvil to screen Olympics in South America
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded the rights to América Móvil to broadcast the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, in 2014 and the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016.
IOC president Jacques Rogge said: “In 2016 the Olympic Games in Rio may be an important moment in Olympic history, and we’re more than happy to have reached this crucial agreement to make sure fans around the continent may be able to have the precise broadcast experience of the Games.”
América Móvil has acquired broadcast rights on all media platforms across Latin America.
