Travel Restriction Changes from 30 August 2021

September 2, 2021 • Alicia

The UK government has made some changes to the restrictions of certain countries as of 30 August 2021 at 4 am.

Seven countries have been added to the green list, these countries are:

The Azores
Canada
Denmark
Finland
Leitchenstien
Lituania
Switzerland

If you are travelling back from a green or amber list country you do not need to quarantine, however you need to prove that you had a negative Covid test taken within three days of departure. You must also complete a passenger locator form and book a PCR test to be taken on or before day two of your arrival. This needs to be booked privately through a government-approved provider.

As of the same time, two countries have moved into the red list.  Thailand and Montenegro both moved from the amber list to the red list. If you need to travel to the UK from either of these countries after 30 August 2021, you will need to quarantine for 10 days in a government-mandated hotel.
